Pinecrest is a community, not a place! We are hosted by Camp Johnsonburg in Johnsonburg, New Jersey (Frelinghuysen Township). They are located at 822 County Road 519, Johnsonburg, NJ 07825.
Any prospective camper must be at least 15 years-old and no older than 26 years-old by December 31st of the current year.
There is truly something for everyone here! Here's a quick snapshot of some of the things you'll be doing as a camper:
• Bible study
• Discussion-based classes (chosen by you!)
• Leadership development hour
• Sports
• Pool and lake activities
• Creative arts challenges
• Evening vespers
• Nightly devotions
• Singing

• Talent show

At Pinecrest, we love and welcome everyone-- and we mean EVERYONE-- as their most authentic selves. We fully believe that your gender, race, ethnicity, primary language, pronouns, 2SLGBTQIA+ identity, athletic ability, musical skills, and religious background all make you exactly who God intended you to be. So we welcome you, just as you are, and are sure that you will find a community full of life long friendships and acceptance.
No! We have no requirements of religious affiliation or congregational membership. We welcome and love everyone, just as Jesus asked us to!
Below is tiered pricing for the full 2026 session:
• Tier 1: $530 - This option is available who need just a little bit of help to make it to Pinecrest 2026
• Tier 2: $570 - This covers the whole cost of camp per person
• Tier 3: $610 - This covers the cost of camp and a little extra to help out a fellow camper
A $50 deposit is due by June 1, with the remaining balance to be paid by August 1.
Assistance is available to ensure that no one is denied the opportunity to attend camp due to financial need. Many congregations offer assistance. Consult your pastor regarding local programs. Partial, and sometimes full, scholarships are also available from Pinecrest. To request a scholarship please send an email to our Director, Rev. • Sleeping bag and or sheet/blanket and pillow.
• Casual clothes (morning / evenings can be cool), rain gear, bathing suit, sturdy shoes, Dress Clothes for our end of week banquet, flashlight.
• Towels, toiletries, shower shoes - the bathrooms are in a separate cabin.
• Optional things include musical equipment, athletic equipment.
• Be sure to bring your Bible, a notebook, pens and / or pencils.
The Pinecrest community resides in cabin villages. Each cabin is under the guidance of a Cabin Leader - a veteran camper chosen by staff for their leadership skills demonstrated in previous sessions. Bed with cots are located in the cabins and there is a bathhouse located in the center of the villages.

YES! Annually, we have our Pinecrest Reunion Picnic (in the fall) and our Winter Weekend Retreat (in the winter). In addition, we have multiple other opportunities to see your favorite people, worship together, and generally have fun!
